The Mayan Princess is located 9 miles from Port Aransas and 8 miles from North Padre Island. Situated away from the crowds, it’s the perfect location for a fun-filled family vacation year round. There is so much to do and explore in Port Aransas and the Texas Coastal areas. During the summer months, there seems to be a fishing tournament every weekend, Texas Sandfest is a three day event held in April each year that features sand sculptors from all over the country. There’s the Harvest Moon Regatta in October which is a sailboat race that starts in Galveston and finishes up in Port Aransas. If you are into bird watching, The Whooping Crane Festival is in February. These endangered birds make their annual trip to Port Aransas and can be viewed up close along the Coastal Bend.
